Anxiety in Women

Anxiety Therapy for Women in Massachusetts

From the outside, you look like you’ve got it handled.

You’re the one people count on. You remember the details, meet the deadlines, and plan three steps ahead. But keeping it all together takes a lot more energy than anyone sees. Your mind rarely shuts off, you replay conversations long after they’ve ended, and resting feels a little like falling behind.

Anxiety doesn’t always look like panic attacks. For a lot of women, it looks like perfectionism, overthinking, and a constant low hum of “what if.”

What this can look like

  • Overthinking decisions, big and small

  • Trouble saying no, or worrying about disappointing people

  • Feeling like nothing you do is quite good enough

  • Physical tension, stomach issues, headaches, or trouble sleeping

  • Health worries that are hard to let go of

  • Repetitive thoughts or checking that feel hard to stop

  • Feeling pulled in too many directions between work, family, and everything else

How therapy can help
We’ll look at the patterns that keep anxiety going, like the thoughts that spiral, the habits that bring short-term relief but long-term stress, and the beliefs about what you “should” be able to handle. I use evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral strategies, to help you respond to anxious thoughts differently, set realistic expectations, and feel more comfortable with uncertainty. The goal isn’t to stop caring so much. It’s to stop running on empty while you do.
